Marc Devoid

Headmaster, Literature, Theology, Latin, Preceptorials, Physical Education

Mr. Devoid earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and a Certificate in Classics from Saint Anselm College (Manchester, NH) and his Master of Arts degree in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary (Cromwell. CT). Mr. Devoid is also in the midst of completing online coursework with the University of Dallas (Irving, TX)  to earn a graduate Certificate in Catholic School Leadership. 

 Since 1994-1995 he has taught courses such as Latin I-IV, Biblical Theology, Dogmatic Theology, Moral Theology, Apologetics, Classical Literature, British Literature, American Literature, Catholic Literature, World Literature, American Government, Church History, Philosophy of Man, Philosophy of God, Introduction to Philosophy, Metaphysics, Cosmology, Logic, Rhetoric, French I, English Grammar and Composition, Saint Augustine's Confessions, Arthurian Legend, C.S. Lewis, The Doctrine of Christ the King, G.K. Chesterton, and J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. He is the moderator of the Saint Augustine School Chess Club. Mr. Devoid's 2022-2023 teaching assignments include the Theology of the New Testament (high school), World Literature (high school), Religion (Grades 5-6), Chesterton's Fr. Brown Detective Mysteries (SEM01) and Athurian Legend (SEM02).

From 2012-2022 Mr. Devoid also taught Latin I, Latin II, Latin III, Latin IV, Rhetoric, and Logic for Freedom Project Academy, a Judeo-Christian classical on-line school that promotes liberty, citizenship, and independent thinking.
